  • 7:00 - 7:45 pm: West Coast Swing Movements and Concepts Class
  • 7:45 - 8:30 pm: Introduction to West Coast Swing Class
  • 7:45 - 8:30 pm: Fundamental West Coast Swing Class
  • 8:30 - 11:00 pm: Open Dancing

Costs

Introductory class and dance:

  • $5 - ASDC/ASEDA/Students, $7 - General Admission

Fundamentals class and dance:

  • $8 - ASDC/ASEDA/Students, $10 - General Admission

Movements and Concepts class and dance:

  • $8 - ASDC/ASEDA/Students, $10 - General Admission

Prerequisites and classes

Introductory west coast swing class:

  • - Prerequisite: An interest in having fun!
  • - Classes: Sugar push, right and left side pass, starter step, whip

Fundamental west coast swing class:

  • - Prerequisite: You should be able to execute all the movements in the introductory class
  • - Classes: Fold, cape, wrap, inside turn, outside turn, free spin, tuck

Movements and Concepts class:

  • - Prerequisite: You should be able to execute all the movements in the introductory and fundamentals classes
  • - Classes: Classes will focus on variations of movements to create a dance that matches the music. Classes will also give you tools needed to have an effective partnership to communicate your dance movements with your partner
